Susan Proctor learned early in life that she is happiest when helping others. She currently serves as the U.S. Program Director for the charity, Tumaini International. After years as a teacher and children’s pastor she found purpose in nonprofit work. Fifteen years in, she has learned to navigate the nonprofit landscape and is eager to do more.

The inspiration for Punk Rock Gives Back comes from Susan’s personal love for punk rock music, art and the connections made through the punk rock community. Her son Eric can be credited for introducing her to punk rock culture and he forever remains an inspiration. The passion of punk rockers to champion causes and right the wrongs is undeniable. The causes may differ but the energy and heart of the people to make the world a better place is universal. She is looking forward to partnering with existing charities to help them do what they do best. Susan currently lives in Chino, California with her partner in all things, Steve, his son Riley, their dog Enzo, and assorted fish.
